The Project REAL evaluation team created a quasi-experimental research design to measure the relationships and effect sizes derived from the Project pertaining to school-level achievement in mathematics and reading at a P-5 elementary school, a K-5 elementary school, a 6-8 middle school, and a 9-12 high school in Rockford, Illinois Public School District 205.
The overall goal for Project REAL is to raise student achievement, so that 75% of students in the four experimental, partnership schools are meeting or exceeding standards in mathematics and reading on Illinois assessments in five years. |
